Fr. Martinez, I was extremely saddened to hear about your diagnosis. Please know that you have been in my prayers constantly. You have been a big part of my life over the last couple of years, and I wouldn’t have gotten as far as I have in my education if you hadn’t opened the doors of Cristo Rey when you did. Thank you for helping to provide me with a wonderful school, exceptional opportunities, and a lifetime full of memories. You are a prime example of the type of person I want to become; someone who approaches life with a positive attitude and hope. You always embraced every challenge that you faced, and I have no doubt that this challenge will be any different. Keep up the fight Fr. Martinez! <3

But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. – Isaiah 40:31

I pray that God’s grace will fall upon you and equip you with uncommon strength to fight the enemy within you. May his healing power renew your spirit and work a miracle to renew you to health and harmony.

    Peace be with you.
